Frequently Asked Questions
Where is the office located?
In Bellevue, Lake Hills to be precise. As this is a home office and we want to preserve as much privacy as possible for ourselves and our clients the address and directions will only be provided after an appointment is made. If you have any concerns about this please message us and we can provide more information.
Do you take L&I insurance for massages?
We do! Please message us with the particulars of your situation so we can better direct you.
What should I wear during my massage?
A very important question as it does seem to be a sticking point for many folks! Our primary focus is the comfort of our clients. If you do not feel comfortable undressing you can simply wear whatever you are comfortable in and the therapist will work around your comfort level. Ideally this would mean comfortable clothing you can easily move in. Athletic shorts and a tank top would be a great example, but truly whatever works for you works for us. At no point will we direct you to undress further than you are comfortable with. It’s up to you, full stop.
It is worth noting that folks do need to be appropriate, so if you do undress you must lay under the sheet, and let the massage therapist drape you as appropriate. She will make sure you are suitably covered at all times. Under no circumstances will clients expose themselves to the massage therapist, if this is deliberately done the massage will be terminated and the cost of that massage, and any future massages that may have been purchased, will be forfeited to our practice. Under no circumstances will we tolerate mistreatment of our staff.
We strive to cultivate a comfortable and respectful environment, this means for the staff as well as clientele.
What should I wear during my red light treatment?
Please keep your bottom undergarments on, your top half may be dressed or undressed however you please. Please note that the best garment to wear to still facilitate the use of the red light would be a light colored garment that is not shiny, say a white cotton undershirt. But, as with the massage, whatever you are comfortable in is the best garment.
It is also worth noting that respect for our staff and our equipment is important, so we do require bottom undergarments to be worn for the duration of a red light treatment. If this is not followed we reserve the right to terminate the treatment and any future treatments, while retaining the full value of the treatment.
When I come in for a massage what’s the process like?
You will be greeted outside by your provider. Since you are coming to a suburban home office it’s most suitable to wait in your car until your time of treatment (we do not have a waiting room at this time). You will receive the address and detailed directions straight away after booking an appointment (don’t worry, it’s quite easy to find and we are of course always available to help you via text or email!). After you are welcomed to the therapy room and gotten settled in (no shoes please!) we will go over any paperwork that needs to be filled out, your concerns, and goals for your treatment.
You can pay before or after your treatment, but the default is paying after. When goals, any potential discomforts, and concerns have been discussed the practitioner will ask you to undress to your level of comfort, and leave the room. At this point you may fully undress, or keep undergarments on, or simply wear what you came in. Whatever your preference is. Please undress, or not, and get under the sheets. There will be a blanket and one sheet on the therapy table, and a fitted sheet over the table. There is a heating pad under the table, set to a temperature that is comfortable to most folks but please do let us know if you have any preferences there. Most massages start face down, but your practitioner will direct you. Make sure you are fully covered by the sheet, and when the practitioner asks if you’re ready you will be ready to enjoy your massage!

As this is a home office, and we do have some costly equipment, the external door will be locked for the duration of the treatment. The internal door easily leads outside, and we can certainly show you the exit if you are in any way uncomfortable (it’s just a home, so we don’t show it as standard practice). The outside door needs to be locked to prevent theft, unfortunately. If you are uncomfortable with this practice please let us know and we can strategize an alternative. There will *always* be an easy exit in case of emergency.
Hopefully you will have come with a clean and lightly moisturised face and body, if not you will be provided with micellar water, cotton pads, and a light oil free moisturizer (or if you have brought your own products you can use the restroom to wash your face). Each light therapy appointment has a 40 minute block, and the treatment itself is 30 minutes, so it is important to be efficient with your time! We want you to be able to enjoy your full treatment time, so ideally come with a clean face and empty bladder.
Your practitioner will leave the room, giving you time to clean your face (if needed) and you will undress to your level of comfort (while remaining in your underwear). Lay on the therapy table and cover yourself with the provided sheet. Your provider will ask if you are ready, and then they will come in and place the devices where you have previously discussed. We ask that if you are uncomfortable at any point you press the call button, and we will come look after you. Please do not attempt to move the devices by yourself. You will be provided with a call button.
Where can the red light be used?
We have three devices that can be used just about anywhere! The Celluma panel is primarily for use on the face or chest, so the only restriction there is that it isn’t to be placed directly on the buttocks or genital area. The large panel above the therapy table can be used over that area, but of course people are required to wear undergarments (say a light colored cotton thong).
The default setup is for the large panel to cover the torso, the celluma on the face, and the small panel at the top of the head (it’s great for your scalp!). But you could have the small panel at your feet (fabulous for plantar fasciitis), the large panel over your legs (sore knees from running? No more!), and still the celluma at the face (the glow!). Or just about any other orientation you’re keen on. You can certainly message us at any time with any questions, and the devices can easily be moved at the time of your appointment if you want any last minute changes. Whatever hurts or needs glow can easily be addressed!
What if I’m uncomfortable during my red light treatment or want something moved?
We have a button for you to push, someone will be right with you! Please push the button and cover yourself with the provided sheet so staff can assist you.
